I realized last week that wubbahed is everywhere. I was having yet another conversation with co-workers about “Web 2.0″ and came to the realization that I’m involved with way too many websites. A quick Google search brought up a few sites that I had even forgotten about. What’s even worse is that I don’t actively participate in most of them. This upset me. The point of the web is to encourage people to contribute, to produce, to consume, and here I was spreading myself way too thin and not creating enough content anywhere to make it worthwhile.
Of course the solution to this problem was obvious. The solution wasn’t to scale down the web presence (though I did completely delete my account on myspace), the solution was to build an über web presence. A personal portal. Put all the pieces into one place. Tied up with string.
Hence the new home page.
The plan is to slowly migrate the personal blogs, technical writings, software and photos all into this place, but right now that’s just an idea and I have no idea how long it will take to complete. But stick around, and hopefully I’ll make it worth your while. If not, then go read my brother’s blog cause it’s pretty good even though I soundly kick his ass in a Google Fight any day.
