So while my company has grown quite a bit over the past two years, we still pride ourselves on being relaxed and keep convincing ourselves that our corporate culture hasn’t changed despite the fact that we now have hundreds of employees. One of the ways we perpetuate this is through company wide emails. Yes, each employee is intentionally granted the right to broadcast an email to the entire staff. Most of the time, people don’t abuse it, but occasionally something brilliant like this lands in my Inbox:
“This Sunday I am turning 29. I am going to start drinking Friday, and I am going to drink until everyone in this city is as pretty as I am. I intend to drink enough to kill a small horse. So, if there is anyone left in this company that doesn’t hate me yet, you are welcome to come join me. Unless I hate you. Then it is probably best if you don’t show up. Unless you are willing to buy me a drink. Then you may come, just don’t talk to me too much.”
I have never met this man in person, but I’m thinking he looks something like this:
